Description
On the eve of the 75th anniversary of the victory in The Great Patriotic War YouLang publishes 2 themed lessons, the first one of which is about the heroic act of doctors. In this lesson we will talk about heroism of the famous surgeon Fedor Uglov who was working during the war inside the walls of the besieged Leningrad. Students will get to know the facts about Russian history and discuss the importance of one of the most hard and sensitive jobs. Exercises within the lesson will teach students to express their thoughts during discussions correctly with the use of particular grammatical constructions. In the “keys” section you will find methodical recommendations for the teacher including distance work. For the teachers: this lesson can be combined with the next one – “War through the eyes of the writers and poets”, level B1. Methodical recommendations about the complex use of these materials will be provided in the description of the “War through the eyes of the writers and poets” lesson.
